Our company has achieved mass production using wooden molds! This method is widely used in the manufacturing process of industrial products such as trays.
There are several methods for molding plastic, including injection molding, blow molding, and vacuum forming. "Vacuum forming" is one of these methods and is widely used in the manufacturing process of food trays and industrial product trays. First, a thin sheet of resin (plastic) is heated to soften it, then the air between the sheet and a mold (which has a convex or concave shape) is removed to create a vacuum state and adhere the sheet to the mold. Finally, the resin is cooled, and when removed from the mold, a product with the same shape as the mold is completed. Ninety-nine percent of vacuum forming manufacturers use molds made of aluminum or resin, but our company has achieved mass production using wooden molds. 【Process of Vacuum Forming】 ■ Heat a thin sheet of resin (plastic) ■ Remove the air between the sheet and the mold to create a vacuum state and adhere ■ Cool the resin and remove it from the mold *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
