- As a standard for PCBs in paint films, the Ministry of the Environment provided guidelines for low-concentration PCB contamination in March 2019. If this standard (0.5 mg/kg) is exceeded, it is necessary to treat it as PCB waste. - In December 2019, the standards for high-concentration PCB contamination were revised, allowing samples with PCB concentrations not exceeding 100,000 mg/kg to be processed at facilities certified for the harmless treatment of low-concentration PCB waste.
