Automated Warehouse: Case Study on Parts Management (Reduction of Labor Hours in Picking Operations)
Promoting multi-skilled workers! A case where the step count in picking operations was reduced by 60%.
We would like to introduce a case study on JUKI's automation implementation. The automated warehouse system "ISM Series" allows for automatic parts retrieval from the instruction of parts dispatch. Before implementation, the step count for workers during picking tasks was 1,527,040 steps per month, but after implementation, it was reduced to 572,640 steps per month, achieving a 60% reduction. The picking tasks that traditionally required manual labor have been automated, leading to improved work efficiency and significant labor cost reductions. 【Effects】 ■ Reduction of labor hours in picking tasks ■ Promotion of multi-skilled workers *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
