There is a risk of fracture in situations where the threads of the bolt are damaged and cannot be tightened sufficiently. This document introduces a case where shape measurement was performed on the threads, comparing the intact parts, the damaged parts, and the JIS standard values. In the damaged area, the threads were deformed as if they had been crushed, and compared to the intact parts, the amount of deformation was 0.3573mm.
