basic information
- Quantitative Test After inoculating the test sample (specimen, test piece) with the test bacterial solution and incubating for a certain period, the number of viable bacteria is measured. The increase or decrease in the number of viable bacteria is compared between the processed product and the unprocessed product (control) to evaluate the antibacterial activity of the test sample. - Qualitative Test The halo method is a representative method. After placing the test sample (specimen or a paper disk soaked with the specimen) in the center of the agar plate inoculated with the test bacteria, it is incubated. After incubation, it is checked whether the growth of bacteria is inhibited around the test sample (inhibition zone), and the antibacterial activity is determined. *If you would like images of the petri dish after incubation, please inform us of this before the test. (Additional fees for providing this will apply.)
