The ideal for vacuum forming with molds is to have no residual air, meaning that the resin is filled after the inside of the mold has been evacuated to a vacuum. Even in cases where complete sealing is impossible due to the mold structure, it is possible to increase the vacuum level by sealing as much as possible, thereby achieving the degassing effect at the points that need to be removed.
