Shake method
The shake method is a suitable antibacterial testing method for samples that have a non-smooth special shape or are small items. In cases where flat test pieces (such as 5 cm x 5 cm) can be produced, methods like JIS Z 2801 are used, and in principle, the shake method is not employed. Additionally, for fibrous samples such as cloth or paper, methods like JIS L 1902 are used.

basic information
- Information necessary for conducting the test To provide a smooth estimate, it would be helpful to receive the following information: - Number of types of samples - Whether there are preparations for unprocessed test specimens - Required deliverables* (if there are any besides the Japanese report) - Test microorganism species (if you wish to conduct tests with species different from the specified ones) - Any test conditions you wish to change (if applicable) * Unless there are specific requests, the report will consist only of a Japanese report (including test methods, test results (results of the determination of test validity conditions, viable cell counts, antimicrobial activity values), without images).

Applications/Examples of results
【Testing Method】 1. Preparation of Samples Prepare 3 sets each of antimicrobial processed samples and unprocessed samples (refer to "Required Amount of Samples"). 2. Preparation of Test Bacterial Solution According to the regulations, prepare using 1/500 nutrient medium. Depending on the testing purpose, this nutritional condition may be modified. 3. Inoculation and Cultivation of Test Bacterial Solution on Samples - Inoculate 10 mL of the test bacterial solution onto each sample per 32±5 cm² and shake-cultivate. * Use 35±1°C, 150±10 rpm for 24 hours; cultivate similarly for the control group with only the test bacterial solution. 4. Measurement and Evaluation of Viable Bacteria Count - After cultivation, measure the viable bacteria count of the test bacterial solution. - Compare the viable bacteria counts of the test bacterial solutions inoculated and cultivated on the antimicrobial processed samples and unprocessed samples to evaluate the antimicrobial effect.
Company information
At our center, we not only conduct tests as specified by JIS and other regulations, but we also propose testing methods that suit the purpose of the tests. We capture the entire problem for problem-solving and provide practical advice.
