◆Background of Introduction Testing for iron and other elements typically involves blood sampling, and there was a demand for simpler testing methods. This device is a testing apparatus that utilizes the reaction of fluorescent silica nanoparticles. While similar devices exist, they required manual loading of cartridges. As a result, the process involved many steps and could not be operated with one hand. Additionally, there were multiple types of cartridges, leading to the risk of incorrect insertion of cartridges with different combinations. ◆Solution A dedicated tray was created for cartridge loading, and an auto-loading mechanism was adopted that uses a motor to pull in the cartridges. ◆Effect The loading, reading, and ejection of cartridges can be performed with a single button, reducing the number of times the cartridges and device are handled, as well as shortening the testing time.
