◆Background of Introduction More than 60% of the causes of fires during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the Great East Japan Earthquake were due to electrical fires. The 【Seismic Breaker】, which automatically shuts off the breaker during an earthquake, is an effective disaster prevention device that helps prevent large-scale disasters caused by electrical fires. ◆Solution There are various methods to shut off the breaker, but this time we are using a small motor to indirectly disconnect the breaker. A significant amount of force is required to disconnect the breaker, and it cannot operate on the minimal power of dry batteries. Therefore, the disconnection of the breaker is achieved using a powerful spring. The trigger for the spring to compress is activated by rotating it with a small motor. This allows a small motor to generate a large disconnection force while simultaneously saving power from the dry batteries.
