Improving product reliability! Edge sealing agent that prevents water vapor transmission.
eGloo is a UV-curable adhesive that mixes Saes Getters' proprietary metal oxide-based moisture getter with an epoxy-based substrate. By using it for adhesive application on package edges, it functions as an edge sealant that prevents moisture vapor transmission. 【Features】 ○ Edge sealant that prevents moisture vapor transmission for packages sensitive to humidity ○ Can be used as an alternative to high-performance edge sealants. Enhances moisture barrier performance through proprietary getter technology ○ Under DHT (Damp Heat Test) conditions of 60°C/90% RH, the sealant can delay the breakthrough time (the time it takes for moisture vapor to penetrate the edge adhesive and begin to enter) by over 1500 hours (experimental value) ○ Usable with materials compatible with UV curing ○ Adhesive performance further improved - shear stress > 6.9 MPa

The "Saes Getters Group," a global pioneer in getter technology, has been providing solutions for various applications, such as high and ultra-high vacuum environments and the deposition of pure metals, since its founding in the 1940s (including gas/moisture adsorbents, mercury/alkali metal deposition sources, etc.). Additionally, the company has actively invested in research and development, and since 2004, it has expanded its business into the Nitinol market. The superelastic properties of Nitinol are applied in medical devices, while its shape memory characteristics are utilized in industrial and household electrical appliances.
