Support for upgrading to mass production molds (changing to intermediate mass production molds) is also available. In the current situation where production plans are unclear, manufacturing mass production molds at maximum capacity becomes a high-risk investment. Therefore, we propose an intermediate solution between prototype progressive press molds and mass production progressive press molds, which is the intermediate mass production mold. Our prototype progressive press molds can be upgraded to intermediate mass production molds depending on the quantity. We have also achieved an increase in guaranteed shot count to 4 million by changing the mold material of the prototype progressive press molds to carbide or applying coatings to the molds. Upgrading from our prototype progressive press molds to intermediate mass production molds is optimal for cumulative lot sizes of up to 3 million units.
