Applications equipped with 2-cell lithium-ion batteries have primarily included digital cameras, portable DVDs, tablet PCs, intercoms, etc. However, recently, they have also been increasingly used in electric assist bicycles, beauty and health devices, toys, small electric tools, and cleaners. While smartphones have mostly used 1-cell batteries until now, the demand for high capacity and fast charging has led to the emergence of 2-cell models. The "NB7200 series" features industry-leading high-precision overcharge, over-discharge, and discharge overcurrent detection monitors for 2-cell applications. Additionally, by using external resistors, it improves current detection accuracy and adopts a compact DFN1616-8 package (1.6×1.6×0.4mm), contributing to high precision, low power consumption, and space-saving, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of customers' lithium-ion battery applications.
