It is an ideal oil-based paste that pursues workability, grindability, and further economic efficiency!
In particular, gloss is an essential quality for plastic products. To create that quality, high precision molds are required for producing plastic products. The final polishing process is finished with diamond paste. ▼ Mechanism of Diamond Paste Polishing Conventional grinding stones have abrasive grains fixed with a bond, so the pressure applied directly translates into grinding force, which can create deep scratches. However, diamond paste consists of diamond abrasive grains and a paste-like compound, allowing the grains to move freely without being fixed. Therefore, the applied pressure does not directly transfer, preventing deep scratches. Additionally, the depth of scratches varies depending on what is used to apply pressure. For instance, using a hard object like a bamboo spatula versus a soft material like felt will result in different pressures being transmitted to the abrasive grains, leading to variations in the finished surface.

▼Selection of Diamond Paste 〇Particle Size: Depending on the precision of the previous process and the required precision, finish in order with coarse finishing lap (90μ to 45μ), preliminary lap (30μ to 9μ), precision lap (6μ to 3μ), and mirror lap (1μ to 1/4μ). *If you want to reduce the viscosity of the paste, please dilute it with the dedicated thinner (A-602) for use. Diamond paste is intended for metal polishing. Therefore, it will not achieve a mirror finish on plastic products or lenses. Conversely, it may cause scratches or dull the surface gloss, so please refrain from using it.
