**Issue** St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center has a total of 310 refrigerators and freezers across the organization, with approximately 160 used for managing pharmaceuticals, vaccines, blood bags, laboratory samples, and the remaining 150 consisting of food refrigerators. These items require strict temperature control for high-quality patient care and safety. To comply with temperature monitoring and corrective action audits by regulatory agencies, staff manually monitored the temperature in all refrigerators and freezers several times a day. St. Joseph's is building a Cisco Unified Wireless Network designed in collaboration with NEC, spanning the main campus and 22 remote sites. In partnership with Securitas Healthcare (formerly STANLEY Healthcare), the hospital has implemented the AeroScout environmental monitoring solution utilizing the wireless network. Wi-Fi temperature sensor tags are installed in refrigerators and freezers, and the MobileView software provides tracking, alerts, and reporting of temperature information.
