The "Bird and Animal Control and Game Utilization Exhibition 2022" will be held from October 26 (Wednesday) to 28 (Friday) at the Tokyo Big Sight West Exhibition Hall. There are significant issues such as crop damage caused by wild birds and animals, a decrease in the number of people involved in animal capture, and an aging population. This exhibition gathers information related to measures against crop damage from wild birds and animals, capture technology, and the utilization of game after capture, utilizing ICT and drones, as well as intrusion prevention fences and cameras. Our company will showcase products including the "Camera-equipped IoT Pest Monitoring and Notification Sensor & AI-equipped Dashboard System" and "IoT Pest Capture Monitoring and Notification Sensor." We intend to listen to the opinions of those involved with wild birds and animals to improve our future products. The 8th National Wildlife Damage Countermeasure Summit (scheduled to be held on February 17, 2021) has been canceled due to the need to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, and it has been changed to a video presentation format. On October 17, 2020, the support decision for the "Comprehensive Support Project for Demonstration Experiments" in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, was made for the demonstration of "Pest control measures based on data from IoT-enabled wild boar detection sensors and dashboard systems." The demonstration period is from January 24, 2021 (Sunday) to March 31, 2021 (Wednesday). In the area around Mount Zao, damage to agricultural products caused by wild boars, as well as human and traffic-related incidents affecting local residents, has been increasing. The deployment rate of capture teams has more than doubled compared to last year, and there is a reality of a decrease in those engaged in pest control due to the aging of the population. This demonstration experiment aims to improve the efficiency of capture results traditionally generated by human activities by utilizing data obtained through IoT solutions, with the goal of increasing both the number and rate of captures. The infrared sensors installed at eight locations around Mount Zao detect wild animals such as wild boars and record data including date, time, location, weather, and temperature. Additionally, information from residents and hunting associations regarding sightings will be aggregated to visualize the accumulated wild boar sighting information, leading to more effective captures.

On December 5, 2021 (Sunday), the Kochi Hunting Festival was held, organized by Kochi Prefecture. It was a festival where attendees could experience the charm of hunting through the sale of game dishes made from deer and wild boar meat, the sale of antler accessories, the introduction of hunting tools used by hunters, and consultations on obtaining hunting licenses. Thanks to the kindness of Mr. Tachibana, the representative of Kochi Gibier Workshop, our company was able to exhibit a wildlife capture monitoring sensor utilizing IoT at the Kochi Gibier Workshop booth. Many people, including hunters, consumers of game meat, students, and housewives, visited our booth. Among the feedback we received was from a housewife who said, "I have a hunting license, but I can't engage in hunting activities because I'm on maternity leave. However, if I use solutions like this, I can still hunt during my leave," which provided us with valuable insights. Additionally, we were able to exchange information with various parties related to Kochi Prefecture, the Kochi Hunting Association, and other relevant individuals, making it a very meaningful time for us. Our company will continue to strive to contribute to solving various challenges faced by those engaged in hunting activities in Kochi Prefecture, including the Kochi Gibier Workshop, through IoT-based solutions.
