The standard tax rate for this corporate income tax is 25%. However, due to significant tax reduction policies implemented by the Chinese government in recent years, including the impact of the coronavirus, a tax rate of "2.5%" is currently applied to small businesses. In this context, I will explain the requirements for small businesses that qualify and the applicable period. Requirements for small businesses: They must meet the following four criteria: (1) Not engaged in businesses that are restricted or prohibited by the state. (2) Annual taxable income does not exceed 3 million yuan. (3) Number of employees does not exceed 300. (4) Total assets do not exceed 50 million yuan. Applicable period: From January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022. Please note that the corporate income tax final return for the fiscal year 2020 is not included.
