An example of attempting to mold a wood grain pattern without improving the currently shaped mold!
Here is an example of manufacturing a two-color resin molded product. We received a request from a customer who wanted to develop a new wood grain pattern for a product that has been previously molded in a standard color using irregular extrusion molding. We attempted to mold the wood grain pattern without modifying the existing mold. Since we are simultaneously molding the colors currently in production, we couldn't make any changes to the mold and instead focused on re-evaluating the hard PVC material to achieve the wood grain effect. The wood grain pattern does not achieve the stability of a printed sheet and can only be produced to a certain extent. However, considering the cost, this was deemed sufficient, and the product was commercialized. This is a wood grain molding unique to hard PVC materials. [Overview] ■ Material used: PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) ■ Processing content: Two-color resin molding ■ Request point: Wood grain pattern *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Company information
Meihou Chemical Co., Ltd. specializes in extrusion molding technology for two-color resin molding and foam extrusion molding. Two-color resin molding is a molding method that combines two types of materials with different properties. Various combinations are possible, such as hard materials with soft materials, hard materials with hard materials, and soft materials with soft materials. Additionally, it is also possible to have multiple areas with a base part, a surface part, and a soft part. Foam extrusion molding is a method that incorporates a foaming agent into the resin for molding, and it is often considered as an alternative to wood.
