Automation of 3D probe measurement for electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
XM-5000 and FANUC LR Mate 200iD
By equipping the tip of an industrial robot with a probe and using teaching to make contact with the measurement points, automatic measurement and inspection are achieved.
We have realized automatic measurement and inspection by equipping a probe on the end of an industrial robot, allowing it to contact measurement points through teaching, without human intervention, for the Keyence 3D measurement probe system that can be simply measured manually. We automate the measurement of shapes such as thickness, terminals, assembly steps, and gaps. By automating and digitizing measurements that are difficult with two-dimensional measurements like cameras or manual measurements with jigs, we contribute to our customers' digital transformation (DX). We will also consult with you to ensure that the automatic reading, selection, and measurement instructions for the model from the previous process can be done without an operator, as we anticipate automation. If you have specific documents or data formats, we will also discuss and accommodate your requests for conversion output.

basic information
Each probing contact position is detected by the camera and automatically registered, judged, and exported as 3D coordinate data on the PC side. Industrial robots can select models suitable for the working range of the workpiece. Due to the contact-based measurement, the accuracy is higher compared to non-contact measurements using lasers, and there is no concern about halation. Since the probe position is read by a separately installed camera, there is no influence from errors on the robot side.

Our company was established in August 1947, based on the Mitsui & Co. Hamamatsu Sales Office, and has a history of over 68 years as a comprehensive trading company specializing in machinery and engineering. Headquartered in Hamamatsu, we primarily engage in sales activities targeting the automotive industry, focusing on machine tools and equipment. Our distinguishing feature is that we have a machinery division that manufactures robotic transport systems, measuring instruments, and peripheral devices, along with an in-house factory. By organically combining these engineering functions with the capabilities of a trading company, we aim to be a technology proposal-oriented trading company that supports our customers' manufacturing processes.
