Large items made of composite materials can be molded with high precision and in a short time. It also contributes to reducing the amount of waste generated per shot.
"Vacuum Press Infusion Molding (VPI)" is a molding method that utilizes vacuum pressure to draw and impregnate the matrix after placing "reinforcement materials" and "special silicone films shaped to fit the mold" in FRP molds or metal molds. Since it does not require special equipment or degassing processes, it allows for simplification of the process. The special silicone film can be reused, the amount of resin injected is consistent, and the excess resin is minimized, contributing to a reduction in waste. 【Features】 ■ Proven track record in molding automotive front ends ■ Capable of molding large items with smooth surfaces and excellent dimensional stability ■ Can impregnate 6 liters of resin per minute and cure and demold in about 20 minutes ■ Reduces volatile styrene during molding due to the special silicone film *We are currently offering a "case study collection" with example photos and a "technical introduction document" explaining the benefits of implementation. You can view them via PDF download. Please feel free to contact us for inquiries.

basic information
【Features of Special Silicone Film】 ■ Heat resistance of approximately 250°C (suitable for autoclaving) ■ Can be used without migration of silicone components to FRP products due to the "cross-linked rubber" that has no solvents or oils on the surface. 【Molding Procedure】 1. Apply release agent to mold A (production mold). (Apply gel coat if necessary) 2. Charge the required amount of reinforcement materials (glass fibers, core materials, etc.) into mold A. 3. Accurately measure the required amount of resin compound (with hardener, accelerator, etc. added) and pour it over the reinforcement materials. 4. Cover with the special silicone film and apply vacuum (vacuum press). Allow the resin to impregnate. *For more details, please refer to the materials. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.
