When chain oil or similar substances get on your hands, we verified whether the dirt can be properly removed. This time, since the bicycle chain had become black and dirty, we will wash the chain and apply oil. The dirt on the chain mainly consists of metal particles that have worn off and mixed with oil. To remove this oily dirt, a strong cleaning agent is necessary. This time, we used a chemical solution called "chain degreaser" to remove the oily dirt from the chain. During the process, I touched various parts with my bare hands, so my hands got dirty. (The image shows an exaggerated amount of dirt.) As a result, as shown in the image, simply rinsing with water cleaned the dirt completely.
