[Cost Reduction Case in the Laboratory] Purification and Reuse of Deuterated Solvents

Completely unattended, safely purifying solvents at normal pressure and low temperature! An example of DMSO-d6 is introduced.

We purify and recover expensive solvents, such as deuterated solvents used in NMR measurements, which are used in small quantities for reuse. Here, we introduce the example of DMSO-d6. DMSO-d6 (deuterated dimethyl sulfoxide) is a solvent used in NMR measurements, with a boiling point of 189°C and a melting point of 20°C. By using "Salt Mini," it is easy to purify, recover, and reuse DMSO-d6. Simply set the waste solvent and turn on the power; after that, you can leave it completely unattended while safely purifying the solvent at normal pressure and low temperature.
