Case studies of Idemitsu Kosan's lubricants contributing to the SDGs <4 themes>

There are also cases where energy conservation and CO2 emissions reduction have been successful. We are presenting case studies related to initiatives aimed at achieving the SDGs.

Currently, we are distributing a summary of four case studies related to the adoption of our products in efforts to achieve the SDGs. 【Featured Products and Case Studies】 ＜Lubricating Oil for High-Temperature Chain Drive Systems: "Chain Master Series"＞ ◎ Utilized to reduce maintenance costs caused by oil film breakage of chains in high-temperature painting drying ovens. ◎ Successfully extended the lifespan of chains and reduced equipment maintenance costs by 2 million yen. ＜Coolant for Difficult-to-Cut Materials: "Master Cool"＞ ◎ Used during the processing of heat-resistant difficult-to-cut material SUS430, effectively reducing the amount of liquid replenishment and stickiness in the processing chamber due to the high concentration of coolant. ◎ Successfully reduced liquid replenishment and stickiness by operating at a low concentration. ＜Multipurpose Oil: "Versital Force"＞ ◎ Utilized in the pressing process as a measure towards achieving zero CO2 emissions in factories. ◎ Achieved a 2.3% energy saving and a reduction of 70 tons in CO2 emissions. ＜Biodegradable Hydraulic Oil: "Bios Hydro SE"＞ ◎ Used as a measure to demonstrate environmental consideration during river construction near residential areas, taking into account the potential leakage of crane hydraulic oil. ◎ Successfully differentiated from competitors in terms of environmental consideration, leading to the acquisition of projects sensitive to environmental pollution. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document.
