The SS400 outdoor tank was blast-treated and then spray-painted.
The interior is untreated, and only the exterior has been painted. The tank is large, with dimensions of 2500mm in diameter and 4400mm in height. The specifications include painting after blast treatment, with a salt-resistant coating. First, impurities and rust on the surface were removed by blasting, and then a total of six layers of paint were applied, including inorganic zinc, thick-film epoxy resin, and urethane resin. Although not shown in the photos, the handrails and stairs were also painted, with the top coat being yellow. Even with such a large tank, painting was carried out without issues due to the number of overhead cranes and the spacious painting area. The delivery time was a bit short at just over a week, but by using cranes for the painting, we were able to reduce the labor involved in flipping the tank and managed to meet the scheduled delivery date.
