Meeting various traditional material needs! Ensuring quality and stable supply.
Our company carefully selects and adopts raw materials from various locations both domestically and internationally. These raw materials are adjusted according to their intended purpose, and we offer over 20 types of clay, including earthenware, standard porcelain, white porcelain, reinforced porcelain, and recycled porcelain, as well as more than 10 types of glazes designed to maximize the performance of the clay. The raw materials used in traditional materials are classified into four categories: base materials, melting materials, medium melting materials, and plastic materials, most of which are natural raw materials. In the selection process, we conduct raw material tests, incorporation tests, and cost evaluations, and sometimes visit mines to investigate geology, extractable quantities, and quality control. Our company started in the Taisho era as "Yamaka's Raw Material Division," supplying clay to ceramic manufacturers. At that time, ceramic manufacturers produced their own clay and glazes, which lacked stability. Therefore, we advanced our research and began supplying wet raw materials for ceramics as a dedicated raw material manufacturer. Since then, we have expanded our scale alongside the development of the ceramics industry. In 1991, we also began processing ceramic powder raw materials using a spray dryer, and we continue to this day. As we move toward a new era, Yamaka Ceramics aims to continue making progress step by step and to remain a company that can always contribute to the local community.
