The DS4600 series provides the versatility and scanning performance necessary to expedite checkout processing throughout the store, ensuring a smooth flow of customers at the register. It supports staff in scanning products of all sizes, reading barcodes in any condition, and accommodating all types of checkout processes. The DS4608-SR can capture UPC codes from up to 28 inches (approximately 71 cm) away, allowing checkout staff to easily reach items in customers' shopping carts without leaving the register.

  Achieving a higher level of versatility and high performance, it is equipped with an 800MHz microprocessor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor, and Zebra's proprietary PRZM intelligent imaging technology, allowing it to instantly read even the most difficult-to-scan barcodes. It can capture UPC codes from up to 28 inches (approximately 71 cm) away, enabling checkout staff to easily reach for items in a shopper's cart without leaving the register.

  OCR - Reading Data from Driver's Licenses With OCR support, it facilitates the collection of data from ID cards and travel documents that may not have barcodes, accelerating checkout processes at airport shops and other stores. Additionally, cashiers can read and analyze driver’s license data for automatic filling of credit card application forms, verifying age when purchasing age-restricted items, and processing returns.

  Output only one barcode from many. By using it in conjunction with Zebra's Preferred Symbol, the DS4600 series can read and output only the desired barcode. From now on, staff will no longer have to go through the unnecessary hassle of covering up surrounding barcodes before scanning.

  Can be switched to hands-free mode. Simply place the scanner on the optional presentation stand, and it will automatically switch to hands-free mode. If you want to switch to handheld mode, just pick the scanner up from the stand. No changes to the settings are necessary.
