Contributing to productivity improvement! Maintenance of cooling circuits that maintain the performance of molds.
Automatic cleaning of the mold cooling circuit! Contributes to increased productivity with improved flow rate!
To achieve efficient production, it is necessary to maintain a constant temperature for the mold. When a mold is newly created, it can be produced at a consistent cycle time, but if maintenance of the cooling circuit is neglected, cooling will gradually become less effective, leading to shrinkage and deformation in the products. This will result in a slight extension of the cycle time, and a 10% extension directly translates to a 10% decrease in production efficiency. To prevent efficiency loss, we regularly disassemble the molds and use drills to clear out deposits from the cooling circuits, but this stops production during that time, and the effort required for disassembly and cleaning is not insignificant. Recently, there has been an increase in items that cannot be cleaned using physical methods, such as circuits created with 3D printers. Therefore, we recommend our waterway cleaning machine, "Aratta-kun"! Aratta-kun is a device that allows maintenance of the cooling circuit with minimal effort! It is also possible to connect pipes and clean multiple molds simultaneously!

basic information
- Compact & Lightweight The cleaning operations often take place next to molding machines or in the corners of factories. Molding factories are typically filled with equipment at a high density to enhance spatial efficiency, so it is not uncommon to find areas with no maintenance space at all. Therefore, we designed it to be portable for narrow spaces, allowing for space-saving operations. - Pulsation Since small parts are often used in molds, the diameter of the circuits tends to be narrow, making it impossible to supply at high pressure. By sending the cleaning solution in a pulsating manner, effective pressure is applied to the blockage while simultaneously making it easier for cavitation to occur, which helps to detach foreign substances adhered to the walls of the waterways. - Reversal Generally, during production, water is only allowed to flow in one direction, causing deposits to accumulate in shadows and eddies against the flow. Therefore, by periodically reversing the flow of the cleaning solution, these deposits can be effectively removed. If the circuit is completely blocked, it cannot be cleaned, but if there is a slight flow, alternating the flow from both ends can allow for relatively quick penetration.

Applications/Examples of results
The results of the cleaning will manifest as an improvement in cooling performance. The improvement in cooling performance leads to a reduction in the molding cycle time. Target objects: Plastic molds, aluminum die-casting molds, and others with water-cooling circuits. Cooling circuits of molding machines, especially under the hopper, where circuits tend to get clogged. Water-cooling circuits of compressors, which often cannot exchange heat due to calcium buildup. If the circuit of the temperature controller is also water-cooled, it can be treated in the same way as molds and molding machines. However, since the capacity is often large, it is advisable to carry out the process in as small an area as possible to avoid generating a large amount of waste all at once.
Detailed information
-
The cooling circuit of the mold was photographed with an endoscope camera. It is evident that deposits are adhering and obstructing the flow of cooling water. If this continues, the cooling will gradually worsen, and there is a risk of shrinkage or deformation in the molded products...

Rust in the piping can affect mold components as transferred rust. This photo shows cracks that have occurred from areas corroded by transferred rust. Mold components that have lost some strength due to rust, like this, can break under molding pressure, so caution is necessary.
