Achieving lubrication at high temperatures! Examples of wear-resistant coatings contributing to many fields.
We would like to introduce a case that solved the problem of "wear occurring at the sliding parts of stainless steel in high-temperature environments." The mold material is stainless steel, and since the molding temperature is around 300°C, lubricants such as grease cannot be used. Instead, wear resistance was ensured through hard chrome plating, but there was no fundamental solution to the galling of the counterpart material. Therefore, we adopted a high-temperature dry lubrication coating for the sliding parts of the molds. A large amount of molybdenum disulfide was used to form a hard film, achieving lubrication at high temperatures and preventing galling, as well as ensuring wear resistance.
