Until the creation of an anti-reflective film with such high transparency that one does not notice its existence.
Free distribution of technical materials! A new technology for forming fine structures! High flexibility in pattern design is our strength.
Dexerials has developed numerous new functional materials and devices, primarily in the field of electronics. One of these is an anti-reflective film that utilizes microstructures. On the surface of a moth's eye, there are regularly arranged protrusions that are smaller than the wavelength of visible light (380nm to 780nm). The area near the tips of these small protrusions appears as if it does not exist to the light entering the moth's eye. For moths, which are primarily active at night, external light reflection in their eyes increases the risk of being detected by predators. At the same time, it is believed that they have evolved this eye structure to navigate without colliding with obstacles even in the faint moonlight at night. The "Moth Eye Type Anti-Reflective Film" developed and manufactured by our company is a product that forms this microstructure on the surface of the film. It features an overwhelmingly low external light reflection rate and high light transmittance compared to conventional films, making it useful in various fields such as display anti-reflection and medical shields due to its low reflection properties. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links. basic information
【Application of Technology for Blu-ray Discs】 There are several methods to form a moth-eye structure on a film. One technique widely adopted by many manufacturers is called "anodic oxidation." This method involves immersing an aluminum plate in an acidic liquid and applying an electric current, which triggers a chemical reaction that naturally forms numerous tiny holes across the entire surface of the plate. In contrast, we have independently developed a method to shape microstructures represented by the moth-eye structure by applying the technology accumulated since the era of Sony Chemical, which is used in the manufacturing of Blu-ray discs. Optical discs, represented by Blu-ray discs and DVDs, record information through small continuous depressions (pits) on their surfaces. In the production of anti-reflective films with microstructures, we first prepare a cylindrical (roll) master plate that serves as the mold for shape transfer. Our company produces a roll master plate, referred to as a "master roll," which arranges fine irregularities in a regular pattern using lithography technology with laser drawing on roll-shaped materials. *For detailed content of the article, please refer to the related link.
