"Fine Resin" is a polyamide resin that has been modified to be alcohol-soluble by introducing methoxymethyl groups into some of the amide nitrogen atoms of linear nylon resin using our unique technology. By introducing methoxymethyl groups into the amide groups of nylon resin, the hydrogen bonding of the amide groups is reduced, leading to a decrease in the crystallinity of nylon. This increases solubility in solvents and results in a soft, rubber-elastic resin. It is also referred to as "Type 8 Nylon" because it has two additional carbon atoms compared to 6-Nylon.
