Reducing lead time and initial costs by prototyping lead frames with MERC processing!
In the prototyping of lead frames, etching is common; however, our company utilizes a precision turret punch machine called MERC for small-scale lead frame prototyping. We output the provided CAD data to the machine for processing, resulting in a simple method that allows for sample production in as little as 7 days. We would like to introduce a case where the prototyping of lead frames was achieved with reduced initial costs and shorter delivery times. 【Challenge】 We want to shorten the lead time for lead frame prototyping. - During the development stage, we want to try various shapes, but the lead time for lead frame prototyping is long, resulting in delays in obtaining them. - Using etching to test various shapes requires the production of masks each time, leading to high costs. 【Solution】 By prototyping lead frames using MERC processing, we can reduce lead time and initial costs. - Prototyping lead frames with MERC processing allows for sample submission in as little as about one week, contributing to an increase in development speed at the customer's site. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
