[Case Study] Adoption of Remote Monitoring Autonomous Driving Demonstration Experiment
KES IoT Logic Series
"KES IoT Logic" has been adopted for a remote monitoring type autonomous driving demonstration experiment utilizing video transmission in the autonomous driving demonstration project in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
The recent autonomous driving demonstration required "video streaming functionality" and "real-time device control." Based on our IoT gateway "KES IoT Logic," we have customized and added these features to achieve autonomous driving. ■ Video Streaming Functionality The "1. Uploading data for face recognition/person flow analysis" feature has been enhanced with the addition of video streaming functionality through customization. This allows for real-time uploading of footage captured by AI cameras to the cloud in a streaming format. ■ Real-time Device Control The "2. Remote control of LED lights at bus stops" feature has been enhanced with real-time device control functionality. This synchronizes the control of LED lights that notify about the approaching bus at the bus stop. In the "3. Uploading heat stroke index data" feature, we have implemented customizations for the specific protocol of the WBGT sensor. Our company offers tailor-made customizations to meet our customers' needs. Our experienced engineers are here to support you, so we would appreciate it if you could consult with us first.

basic information
■Purpose and Content of the Demonstration Experiment In Kakegawa City, we are aiming to achieve sustainable transportation and are considering the use of autonomous vehicles utilizing cutting-edge technology as a new means of mobility. Therefore, we have decided to conduct a demonstration experiment aimed at creating new transportation methods and promoting tourism, with a view towards realizing a smart city. In the second demonstration experiment, a demonstration of the IoT bus stop "Watching Bus Stop," necessary for remote monitoring-type autonomous driving, was conducted. The bus stop is equipped with facial recognition and crowd flow analysis functions utilizing AI (artificial intelligence). Passengers who have registered their facial information in advance through a reservation system can board the vehicle using facial recognition by the AI camera. Additionally, crowd flow analysis will be used to assess the number of passersby, which will aid in the planning and implementation analysis of tourism promotion measures. Our product "KES IoT Logic" has been adopted for the system connecting the bus stop to the cloud. The KES IoT Logic installed at the bus stop includes the following three functions, which have been customized from the standard model to realize these capabilities: - Uploading data for facial recognition/crowd flow analysis - Remote control of LED lights at the bus stop - Uploading heatstroke index data
