Altair Multiscale Designer is a tool that efficiently creates and simulates multiscale models of a wide variety of heterogeneous materials, including continuous fibers (UD materials), woven and knitted fabrics (cross materials), short fiber composites (chopped materials), honeycomb cores, lattice structures, reinforced concrete, soil, and bone. It enables multiscale modeling for material design, simulating final failure, variability of probabilistic material properties, creep, fragmentation, and impact. It also includes plugins for general-purpose FEA solvers such as Altair OptiStruct, Altair Radioss, LS-DYNA, and Abaqus.
