Improvement in productivity due to reduced exchanges and maintenance! Introducing examples of cases treated with New Kanak processing.
Due to the use of glass fibers as the material for the hopper chute used in the resin raw material manufacturing factory, we were struggling with wear and contamination. We implemented "New Kanak Treatment" to see if we could suppress wear and contamination by improving surface hardness through surface treatment. As a result, we were able to use it for four years without any issues, leading to increased productivity due to reduced replacements and maintenance. 【Case Overview】 ■ Conventional Issues - The hopper chute wore out quickly, requiring regular inspections and replacements. ■ Treatment Effects (due to improved surface hardness) - Reduction in wear *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Kanak processing is a gas nitriding treatment using a unique method. The material is held in a heating atmosphere of around 500°C for several hours, allowing nitrogen to diffuse from the surface of the steel and react with metal elements to form a hardened layer. Unlike conventional nitriding treatments, there are very few brittle iron nitride compounds near the surface, and the high compressive residual stress along with a smooth hardness distribution are characteristics of Kanak processing.
