Features of "Aluon Plating" Adding lightweight and corrosion resistance to aluminum + desired functions 1. No material selection restrictions as long as it is aluminum 2. Ensures excellent corrosion resistance with a plating thickness of approximately 10μm to 30μm, including the base plating 3. Plating thickness can be adjusted based on the target corrosion resistance 4. The top layer of the plating can be selected from various options such as nickel, tin, silver, gold, and chromium, depending on the application (e.g., soldering, conductivity, wear resistance, clinching, etc.) 5. Achieves high-performance plating without contact marks and cost reduction by using barrel plating based on shape 6. By adjusting the surface condition of the material, it can accommodate a glossy plating appearance to a matte finish with a pearlescent texture.

Aluon plating is a high corrosion-resistant plating for aluminum materials. By ensuring high corrosion resistance with a base plating, various functions can be added through the top layer coating. For example, the part in the image is made of aluminum die-cast ADC12 material, with a base plating of 25μm and a chrome plating on the top layer. The required functions for this product are three points: 1. Corrosion resistance with no white rust formation after 500 hours of JIS salt spray testing. 2. Meeting strict dimensional requirements for high corrosion-resistant plating. 3. No cracking during riveting. All of these requirements have been met. For brass materials, good corrosion resistance allows for thin film plating, which seems feasible, but using aluminum leads to weight reduction and cost savings. One method to enhance the value of aluminum is our Aluon plating.
