basic information
Lubricating plating refers to electroless nickel-PTFE plating. Lubricating plating is a functional coating in which fluororesin (polytetrafluoroethylene: PTFE) is uniformly dispersed and co-deposited onto an electroless nickel coating. This plating has a hardness of about HV300 (heat-treated HV400), but it exhibits very good wear resistance, along with low friction coefficient, water repellency, oil repellency, and excellent release properties. Additionally, it has better corrosion resistance than mid-phosphorus electroless nickel plating.
