[Case Study] Used 30 pieces of flocking for a narrow wall! A mixed-use commercial facility in Chiba City.
Extensive use of glass. A composite commercial facility with a sense of openness in Chiba City, built using traditional wooden construction methods.
The Flocking Narrow Wall is a newly developed structural wall that can be used in traditional construction methods, originating from the Flocking Hardware Construction Method. Compared to conventional structural walls, it offers superior durability and is compact. By using the Flocking Narrow Wall, it is possible to create an unprecedented open space even in small houses with limited space. What we are introducing this time is a mixed-use commercial facility located in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. It features a distinctive building with an open front. The client's request was for a "slim and light design." Although there were aspects that were difficult to express in wood construction, by reducing the size of the structural walls and creatively designing the roof, we were able to faithfully reproduce the original image, resulting in a unique design for a wooden building store. In this project, a total of 30 Flocking Narrow Walls were used: 26 on the first floor and 4 on the second floor. The decisive factor for adoption was "ease of structural design." The Flocking Narrow Wall allows for an open construction method that can be combined with other hardware methods. Its ease of structural calculation is a significant advantage.
