The polishing of the mold surface after processing is mild and, in some cases, requires almost no polishing at all!
The aluminum die-cast camera body mold fixed core (L270×W50×H75) underwent a common surface hardening method and was cast using a 250-ton die-casting machine. However, when the production reached approximately 130,000 units, severe erosion and burning phenomena due to aluminum molten metal occurred in the patron chamber and mask surface. Therefore, when we tried the "I-NIX treatment," we were able to continuously cast without issues for 7 days, and it was found to be effective for the die-casting mold as well. Furthermore, when we applied the same treatment to 2-3 other molds, similar effects were observed. [Case Summary] ■ Issue: It was extremely difficult to achieve continuous casting for even one day despite repeated surface treatments. ■ Result: We were able to continuously cast without issues for 7 days. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
Conditions for Maintaining Good Mold Condition with Proper I-NIX Processing ■ The surface of the mold should be finely polished as thoroughly as possible before processing. ■ At least this treatment should be applied during the initial phase of mass production (typically below 5,000 shots, and no later than 10,000 shots). ■ Once normal mass production begins, this treatment should be applied regularly. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
