Increased toughness and the friction coefficient reduced to less than half! Introducing our measures against burrs in pressed parts!
In the press processing of oil rings, the height of burrs has become a problem. When the height reaches a certain level, it is judged as a defective product, and it has been determined that preventing the burrs from becoming too high leads to longer lifespan. Currently, the existing products require regrinding after 300,000 shots, which poses a lifespan issue. By performing "I-NIX treatment," toughness is increased, and the friction coefficient is reduced to less than half, preventing wear phenomena and successfully extending lifespan. The lifespan has increased to six times (1.8 million shots), resulting in favorable outcomes. [Case Summary] ■ Issue: The current products require regrinding after 300,000 shots. ■ Results - Press mold hunch made of ultra-fine particle carbide lasts for 300,000 shots (standard product). - By applying "I-NIX treatment" to the above tool, it now lasts six times longer (1.8 million shots). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
