We will introduce a case where shaving has been completed, allowing for one less step in the process!
In the fine blanking process for automotive flanges (SUS316, thickness 10mm), there was a problem where the cutting edge of the main punch became rough and was prone to chipping. The total life of the tool was also very short. By changing the hardening method and implementing "I-NIX treatment," the tool's lifespan has increased to more than three times that of previous versions. The toughness has improved, and the friction coefficient has been reduced by about half, which has resulted in less friction resistance and a decreased occurrence of chipping on the punch. [Case Summary] ■ Issue: The cutting edge of the main punch became rough and was prone to chipping. ■ Results: - Main punch for fine blanking processing SKH51, 800 shots (standard product) - By changing the hardening method and implementing "I-NIX treatment," the tool now lasts more than three times longer than before. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
