This column is the first installment of "Series 2: MRP and Production Number Management." The production number management method involves setting a management number called a "production number" during manufacturing arrangements, and managing all tasks from planning, ordering, work instructions, to shipping using this production number. In comparison to production number management, there is a material planning method known as MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
