CellScale's BioTester is a device for biaxial tensile testing. Samples are secured on all sides with a BioFlake resembling a rake, and pulled by actuators on each axis, while a load cell measures the strength. The platform for securing the samples is equipped with a temperature-controlled bath, allowing for measurements in liquid, and a camera on top captures the displacement of the samples. The BioTester5000 is a full system, while the BioTester3000 can be customized with additional features to fit budgetary needs.
