The data collected in the cloud can be accessed from a computer or smartphone!
This time, we will introduce a prototype system utilizing Sigfox. The intended use case is monitoring solitary elderly individuals. Various systems have been proposed for monitoring the elderly, but many of them require Wi-Fi connections or mobile phone line contracts. However, many elderly individuals do not have internet connections at home, and there seems to be a significant number of people who are hesitant to sign up for mobile phone contracts. Therefore, we envisioned a system that is battery-operated, easy to install, and can be sold for a few tens of thousands of yen, even when including five years' worth of communication fees in the device cost. Sensor data from three types of sensors is aggregated via Bluetooth to a gateway. The gateway sends the sensor data to a base station using Sigfox, and it is visualized on our cloud server via Sigfox Cloud. *For more details, you can view the blog through the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
