Nickel plating is a process that deposits a nickel metal coating through electrical current. Nickel is one of the rare transition metals and possesses properties that make it resistant to rust. Its characteristics are similar to those of iron, but it is more stable against moisture in the air than iron, which is why it is used for both decorative and anti-corrosive purposes. However, the surface can slightly discolor in the air, so it is common to apply decorative chrome plating in addition to nickel plating for aesthetic enhancement and maintenance. Features: 1.
