CARA is a browser-based application developed by the IATF (International Automotive Task Force) to harmonize audit documents, which has been in use since January 1, 2021. Prior to that, international certification bodies handled documents individually. With CARA, IATF auditors around the world are required to use a common document creation platform for audits in compliance with the automotive standard IATF16949.
