High cleaning effectiveness In backwashing and air washing, only a limited effect can be expected to prevent clogging, but "chiffon washing" removes even stubborn sludge through the rubbing of the filter media against each other, allowing for cleaning to a turbidity level of 30 degrees or below (JWWA A 103:2006-2), comparable to new sand. With the highly effective "rubbing wash," there is no crushing of the filter media By rubbing the filter media against each other, it is possible to reliably remove only the sludge adhering to the surface without crushing the filter media itself, thereby maintaining the filter media in a condition very close to the original specifications. Avoidance and reduction of sludge detachment and outflow phenomena Due to the high cleaning effectiveness, it is possible to avoid and reduce the phenomenon of sludge detachment and outflow into the filtered water, ensuring consistently stable water quality. Significant reduction in the outflow of filter media The filter media that flows out during backwashing is extremely light and carries a large amount of sludge and manganese, regardless of the particle size of the filter media itself. The chiffon tank can significantly reduce the outflow of filter media by maintaining it in accordance with the original design specifications.
