Thin-walled processing of porous tungsten
Yakeshi Electric is also engaged in the development of "functional materials" such as porous tungsten materials. Porous tungsten is a functional material that utilizes capillary phenomena in its porous sections to inject special liquids. It can also be made lightweight. Since it is a brittle material, it typically breaks due to the impact of machining. Therefore, it is common to impregnate it with metals or resins to fill the pores and ensure strength before processing. This time, we will impregnate copper into the porous tungsten after sintering. ----------------------------------- ◇ Photo 3 〈Left〉 Before copper impregnation 〈Right〉 After copper impregnation ◇ Photo 4 Porous tungsten impregnated with copper, processed to a thin thickness, and in a state where the copper has been removed. It is not cracked! Thickness: 0.5mm ----------------------------------- This porous tungsten can also have its porosity adjusted. If you have any issues during the research and development stage, we can collaborate on development with techniques for difficult processing such as thin materials! *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
