Technical Information Magazine 201904-03 Measured Values of Coefficient of Linear Expansion
The technical information magazine The TRC News provides the latest information on analytical techniques that are useful for research and development, solving production troubles, and quality control.
**Abstract** With the improvement of simulation technology, techniques for estimating physical properties have developed. On the other hand, there are often discrepancies between the estimated physical properties and the actual behavior of materials. One possible cause of this is that the parameters used in the simulation differ from those of the materials being used. This paper examines composite materials using cellulose nanofibers (CNF), a new material that has garnered attention in recent years, by comparing the orientation of CNF and the linear thermal expansion coefficient of the composite material between measured values and estimated values from simulations. Furthermore, the results of the evaluation of the impact of the parameters used in the simulation are presented. **Table of Contents** 1. Introduction 2. Samples 3. Measurement and Simulation Analysis Methods 4. Comparison of CNF Orientation 5. Comparison of Linear Thermal Expansion Coefficient (CTE) 6. Conclusion
