At Company M, a manufacturer of rice milling machines, a new factory was established, and a painting and drying line was created. However, after installing a painting booth and conducting outdoor exhaust, paint residue began to scatter, leading to complaints from the neighbors. While there was an option to replace the painting booth with a higher-performance model, the costs were prohibitive. Instead, a secondary filter chamber was installed in the middle of the exhaust duct, with a filter that was compatible with the paint. As a result, paint residue no longer scattered outside, and the costs were reduced to about one-third compared to replacing the painting booth with a higher-performance one.
