This is a stamp-sized evaluation board equipped with the high-precision, multifunctional RTC module RV-3032-C7. It comes with a backup battery (primary lithium battery) already installed. Since the driver for this model is built into the Raspberry Pi's OS, it can also be used as an external real-time clock module (HWCLOCK) for the Raspberry Pi with simple settings. There are pads on the board for implementing an SMD 'solid-state battery' or 'electric double-layer capacitor' as a backup power source.
