A mechanism that converts continuous rotational motion into intermittent rotation is adopted! The problem is solved by carving a spiral groove into the stopper.
The spring mechanism is commonly used in self-closing sliding doors, allowing for adjustments to the spring strength based on the weight of the door and user preferences. However, frequent malfunctions occurred due to user operations (over-winding or loosening the spring). To address this issue, our company adopted a Geneva mechanism in the spring adjustment section and carved a spiral groove into the stopper, effectively solving the problem. The user-friendly and highly durable spring mechanism has been well-received as a long-selling product. [Background and Challenges] - The spring mechanism is often used in self-closing sliding doors. - While the spring strength can be adjusted based on the weight of the door and user preferences, malfunctions frequently occurred due to user operations (over-winding or loosening the spring). - Previous general spring mechanisms lacked stoppers or indicators to prevent over-winding or loosening. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

basic information
**Concept and Mechanism Design** - The brainstorming mechanism design team adopted a Geneva mechanism for the spring adjustment part, solving the problem by engraving a spiral groove in the stopper. - This mechanism uses the main shaft cam as the driving gear and the stopper as the driven gear, transmitting the rotation speed of the driving gear directly connected to the mainspring to the driven gear. - When the main shaft cam completes one rotation, the stopper rotates by one tooth. - A vertically elongated hole (indicator) and a spiral groove are made in the cover, through which a stopper pin is passed, converting the rotation angle of the stopper into vertical movement. - The stopper pin indicates the strength of the mainspring and also serves as a stopper to prevent overwinding and excessive loosening. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
